WEEKEND DROP-IN TEAM
The Weekend Drop-in at The Way, coordinated by Kingdom Way Trust and serving the homeless and street community, has been well received in the first few months of operation. Many guests comment on the friendly, peaceful atmosphere and appreciate the provision of refreshments and interaction with the volunteers.
Currently we are only able to open on two weekends each month. We would love to offer the service each weekend, especially as colder weather arrives. For this we need additional paid supervisors and an expanded team of volunteers.
We currently have immediate need for a Supervisor for a 3 hour afternoon shift on two Saturdays each month to enable us to open fully on both weekends. Supervisors for additional Saturday or Sunday shifts would enable us to open on the other weekends. To enable us to do this, we would also need to increase our great team of volunteers who work 3 hour shifts at a frequency they choose.
