Film extras needed on Sunday 7th January

Come and take part.  All ages welcome.

Come to Holy Trinity Church by 12.30 on Sunday 7th January.  Filming will be finished by 1.30.  Just turn up!

Dress as you are (but no logos please).

Many thanks!

Additional Needs Group Seeks Volunteers

Due to the exciting growth of our group, anyone interested, ideally with experience of people with mild/moderate additional needs, who would be interested in helping the Gateway led, inter church group, please phone Steph on 07801304645. You will not be asked to lead but just be an extra body getting to know people.

Also more importantly, if you are DBS checked and willing to be an escort for current drivers, this is a pressing need. Please note you will always be with staff who are very familiar with our guys, this is purely for safeguarding. Either, or, or ideally both roles would be appreciated.

Gateways team has grown from 2 to 6 but due to physical preparation time being needed beforehand ( as the center is used for so many things on a Saturday we cannot access the building until an hour before) we really need more help. Please note you are welcome to commit to one month in every 4 or more often.

You will be needed from 3.30pm (to pick up) the group runs from 4-6.30 and you may sometimes be required to escort home too. Although the Gateway team currently manage to support with this, the group and its needs are growing, Praise the Lord. Please prayerfully consider if this may be a ministry God is calling you to support.  Thank you

Lagney Shopping Centre – Carol Singing – 9 December

Dear Fellow Church Leaders/Ministers/Eastbourne People

I hope you are all well and managing in this busy time of year.

A reminder that we have the Joint Carol singing this Saturday at Langney Shopping Centre starting at 10:30am.
Please could you encourage your folks, if they are free to come along and join in with other churches in the area to raise our voices in worship as we sing some Carols together.

We will be based next to the new British Heart Foundation shop, which is next to Windmills café inside the shopping centre, please can folks come in bright clothing and ready to bless our community.

We will have some folks from River of Life Church giving out sweets and flyers with details of local Christmas services previously sent out.

I hope to see you there.
I understand that there are other events on that morning, we will be praying they go well for you.

Eastbourne – Men’s Breakfast 9th December

The next breakfast is on the 9th December at the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club at 8.00 when David McLean, a retired teacher who worships at St Saviour’s Eastbourne will be sharing his Thought for the Day.

For newcomers, the breakfast is a full English breakfast served buffet style, the cost is £12.00, cash if possible, cards will be taken if required.

The breakfast starts promptly at 8.00 to finish at 9.00, please arrive around 7.45 to collect a coffee or tea from the drinks station.  With the increased number of guests an early arrival does help to smooth entry.

For newcomers who might be interested in attending, please contact me.

For our regular attendees, if you are unable to attend, please give me your apology by midday, the Thursday prior to the breakfast, the number I submit is the number I can be charged for.  I do hope to see you there.

Our January speaker on the 13th is David Jackman, a retired Vicar, worshipping at All Saints Church, Eastbourne.

God Bless

Dennis

Please join us as we start this advent season by pausing and listening to the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Heb 12:2a). We have felt led to set aside time to come before God to listen and would love to invite churches to join us in this season of watching and waiting.

The Week will include different interactive prayer stations as well as other times of prayer/reflection during the opening times (please see attached flyer).

We would welcome church groups/Home groups to use the space at other times (upon request), but please contact on info@hopeastsussex.org for further details.

The Week will end with 24hrs of continous prayer as the festival of Hannukah begins From Friday 8th December through to Saturday 9th from 7pm to 7pm. We would love as many Churches/Home groups/individuals to sign up using this link:

Family accommodation needed for three months

Dan and Suzy Dugmore, with their children Ben and Beth, are Eastbourne based missionaries serving the Lord in Southern Africa with Youth with a Mission (YWAM).  Here is a copy of their latest newsletter which gives a flavour of their amazing work.

They are planning to spend three months from January to March in the UK catching up with family, friends and supporters and renewing visas etc.

They are in need of accommodation while they are here!  If you know of anyone who has something suitable for this family of four for this period, preferably at low cost, please contact Martyn Relf:  martyn@livingstoneschurch.co.uk.
