Key Headlines

Lives touched: 309 people reached so far this year – each one a story of courage, compassion, and hope.

Growing support: 25 new regular donors have joined our mission in recent weeks. Every gift, large or small, helps us be there in the moments that matter most.

Faithful prayer: 496 prayer supporters now stand with us. Your prayers strengthen our Chaplains more than you know.

Partnership in action: Our incredible colleagues at Sussex Police, HM Coastguard, NHS clinicians, and many others – all working together for life.

Our 500 Donor Campaign: We’re praying for 500 new regular supporters to help secure BHCT’s future. A monthly gift of £14 covers the cost of one life saved per year. Please pray that hearts are stirred to give – and, if you feel led, consider joining them yourself by clicking the link at the bottom of this email.

Our Team: For protection, strength, and resilience as they serve at the frontline this autumn, often in difficult and emotional circumstances.

Those in crisis: That everyone who comes to Beachy Head in despair will meet a Chaplain at exactly the right moment – and not face the edge alone.

Local change: For listening ears and open hearts at East Sussex County Council as we campaign to reduce speeding and make Beachy Head Road safer.

Every story of hope begins with prayer – and yours have carried us. Thank you for every word, every gift, every act of faith that keeps this work possible.

Worship on the Streets November 22nd

Helen Yousaf (national worship leader) will be leading the worship and others will be joining her. It’s a time of celebration declaring the goodness of God through song. We are hoping that Eastbourne churches will join us and talk to passers by who have questions or want to be signposted to local churches.

Praying for Eastbourne

Eastbourne Prayer – Come and pray for our town on Friday morning October 24

Trinity Church Coppice Avenue
10am for coffee
10.30 to pray.

There is car parking space at the back of the church.

Pray Eastbourne is inviting Eastbourne to come to Trinity Church in Coppice Avenue, near Willingdon Triangle on Friday morning, 24th October from 10 am to join in prayer together.  Starting with refreshments, this morning will provide another opportunity for us to pray together for our churches, our neighbours, family and friends, our town, our country and our world. These prayer meetings when we unite together have been significant milestones.

Following this meeting, we will be praying together again, this time on Sunday evening, 2nd November, at 6.30 pm at Victoria Baptist Church in Eldon Road.

Persecuted Church Event Coming to Eastbourne

For 23 years, Andrew and his wife Norine served as missionaries in Turkey. In October 2016, they hit headlines around the world when they were arrested and falsely accused of terrorism. For the next two years, Andrew was held in Turkish prisons. Following a worldwide prayer movement, he was dramatically released in October 2018.

At the event, Andrew will share his compelling story with us; encourage us to remember those who remain in prison for their faith; and challenge us to consider how ready we are to face opposition for Jesus. There will also be an opportunity to put questions to Andrew. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
