The Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer

Are you someone who likes to read biographies of Christians or stories of missions? The Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer is  to be built in 2026-7 in Coleshill near Birmingham and will be seen by 500,000 cars passing by every week.  See https://www.eternalwall.org.uk/ to find out more.

So far the Eternal Wall team has gathered 100,000 answered prayers. Their target is 250,000 before the opening day. They are looking for people who find published stories of answered prayers in books (as well as answered prayers that we experience ourselves of course.) If you are able to help fulfil this vision by recording answers to prayers you find in books that you read, please text or message Sue Relf – 07810702589 who will explain how to send them in.

Living To Finish Well – Getting Your Affairs in Order

Living to finish well – an informal retreat hosted by Ashburnham Place, led by Marjie Sutton.
16-19 September 2025, at Ashburnham Place, Battle, East Sussex

Marjie has written a book called ‘Living to Finish Well.’  It’s basically encouraging everyone – not just the elderly, to get their affairs in order, making it easier for those they love to cope with inheritance and financial issues.

Preparing for death is probably the last thing any of us wants to think about, let alone act on, but putting it off will potentially cause havoc for our nearest and dearest, making a hard time unnecessarily harder.  There are also unexpected blessings to uncover in the process!

Are you one of the many who know you need to take action but don’t know how/where to start?  Join Marjie to begin your journey.

Quiet Day at Crowhurst 15th August

Revd John Ryeland is leading a Quiet Day at Crowhurst Christian Healing Centre on Friday 15th August.  The theme for the day is: In him, we live and move and have our being.

John says “We will be looking at what it means for each one of us to live, move and have our being in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”.  As well as opportunities to reflect on the above topic there will be Christ centred, Spirit led worship and plenty of time to be quiet in what is far too often a very noisy world.

For 25 years, John and Gillian Ryeland led the work at ‘The Christian Healing Mission’, encouraging people to seek the healing that flows from the presence of Jesus. Rather than a silent figure watching from on high, they have found him to be a personal and active presence who transforms lives and situations.

Join us in person at CCHC (10am – 4pm) for £35 per person (the price includes morning refreshments, a 2 course lunch, afternoon refreshments & cake and use of the facilities here, including our fully equipped Art room) or join us virtually via Zoom (£15).  Book 01424 830204 or https://www.crowhursthealing.org.uk/retreat.php?retreat=962
