Further to concern about the absence of a cross at the Lagney Crematorium the local authority has responded to correspondance from the public with the following comment:
‘In the main chapel at the Crematorium, we have a cross, which has to be removable for us to deliver multi faith funerals, but is always in position unless asked to be removed.
In the recently refurbished Family chapel, given the number of different funerals that we conduct including a significant number of non-religious, those arranging are asked if they want a cross, which will then put up at their request.”
