The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team is currently looking to recruit a salaried Employed Chaplain to join our search and rescue team on the cliffs. This is a paid, part-time position with contracted hours between 10 and 20 hours per week (to suit the successful candidate) at a rate of £14.40 per hour.
As this is a frontline ministry responding to people in crisis, there is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practicing Christian who aligns with our Declaration of Faith. Comprehensive training in crisis intervention, mental health, and search and rescue techniques will be fully provided, and our Chaplains always patrol in pairs.
The closing date for applications is 1st August 2026. Interested candidates can find out more about the specific criteria, view the full job description, and apply by scanning the QR code on the poster or visiting www.bhct.org.uk/join-our-team.
Additionally, we would be delighted to visit your church on a Sunday to share a bit about our life-saving work and speak briefly to your congregation at the end of a service. If you would like to arrange a visit, or if you have any questions about the position, please do not hesitate to contact Gail Whitington at gail.whitington@bhct.org.uk or call 07539 475560.
Thank you so much for your time, partnership, and prayers.
